Project Notes

Mayfly is designed to be a family adventure drama, suitable for all ages, with an identifiable, empathetic protagonist and a heartfelt, meaningful message about equality and acceptance at its core. One of the main audiences who would enjoy this picture would be young female viewers who connect with Lilian as a motivating, accessible role model.

While this would be an excellent vehicle for the Irish market, the unique characters, setting and story are absolutely ideal for American and global audiences to enjoy on a widely accessible streaming provide.

Mayfly Concept Theme

Composed and performed by Ed Scanlan, here is a unique concept leitmotif for Mayfly, providing an audio-immersive element to the project.

Script Review:

Mayfly is an inspiring film with strong feminist themes and a compelling plot. Lilian is a strong protagonist because she's the underdog with many obstacles to overcome and she beats the odds and proves that women can do anything a man can do. The ending is so satisfying.“
